Pros

The company name makes it sound as if you're working on something cutting edge or highly advanced. A majority of the work is from legacy designs from 20+ years ago. Benefits arent bad, not to say they're great, 401K matches half, no more pensions though. Some people are nice and easy to get along with, others will stab you in the back to get promoted, I've seen it happen.

Cons

Poor overall leadership. Too many managers and leads with similar job functions. The company itself promotes work-life balances, however the managers that you have to report to does not. The company uses technology that is so archaic that it only displays things in green and black. Takes forever to get anything done with the current processes they have implemented. Too much process kills creativity. Lack of employee appreciation. And high level management will still get their year end bonuses when they had layoffs, while regular employees never get any bonuses.

Pros

Great place to start a career, a lot of development programs, got education paid for, training for PM certification and other courses was available. HOwever, I had the right management support to get all of this accomplished. Not many people were as lucky.

Cons

It's hard to get a promotion, they only "promote" you; when you have been doing the work of 2 people for 2 years straight. Manament is changing constantly and performance reviews are unfair and given by a manager who you do not directly report to. There is no 360 performance review, management needs to be leaned out. Keep the competent people, and get rid of the excess, i.e., management. Training is hard to come by unless you add it to your Professional training plan early in the year; but there are always "budget" issues, and training is hard to come by as you advance on your career.

Pros

It's an ok place to start your career. I recommend to get all you can out of them within the first 6 months - 1 year. that's where you'll receive the maximum value.

Cons

I met a woman who worked for them for 19 years. At 19.5 years, they let her go even though she found another project to rotate to b/c they didn't want to pay her a pension.
