Best place to work in Charlotte!

Pros

I can't imagine working for another insurance broker in Charlotte. The environment is fun, flexible and super busy. Days fly by, and not one goes by without learning something new. The people are awesome and management cares about the employees.

Cons

I really can't think of any cons, unless you consider being busy from the time you walk in until the time you leave a con.

Opportunity for Growth at Lockton

Pros

Lockton provides a highly collaborative environment and the opportunity to develop into a well rounded business consultant. The company has invested significantly in training, tools, analytics and resources to allow Lockton associates the ability to demonstrate and deliver a real value added difference in servicing clients.

Cons

What makes Lockton a place where you can grow and develop a well rounded business skill set, also makes it a challenge. Much of the industry has separated placement of the deal and client facing advisory into silos, Lockton is a place where you need to develop both placement and client facing skills. This challenge is what I think makes the job significantly more satisfying and rewarding to manage the full range of the client relationship cycle.

Pros

Lockton is a family owned business with a passion for excellent client service, its associates, and the community. We have the resources of the large public firms with the associate friendly focus of a private employer. Lockton is very entrepreneurial and associates are encouraged to be creative and efficient. We work hard and play hard. Our high client retention and "Beer Fridays" are a great example of those attributes, respectively. It is truly a best place to work!

Cons

We guard our culture and very carefully consider hires so it can be a long process to hire growth or replacement positions. We are also growing so quickly that associates sometimes carry an extra load while we find the right fit for our team.
