A Complete Façade - Top Heavy and Staff Aug

Pros

There are many good people there, particularly amongst the consulting ranks. Focused customer service amongst the consultants. Good stomping ground for junior people cutting their teeth in basic staff aug roles.

Cons

Where to begin? Tremendous amount of infighting amongst the top ranks. Claiming to offer consulting when mostly selling basic staff aug. Sales team that knows almost nothing about consulting and just pushes the least common denominator (i.e., staff aug). Selling clients on skills and experience that don't exist (bait and switch techniques). Pushing staff with promises of advancement that never materialize. Obsession with bench costs and no real investment in consultants or clients (and push toward hourly vs. salaried employees). Ultimately, this firm needs a lobotomy at the top or it will continue to struggle.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We believe that in order to be one of the best companies to do business with, we have to have great people. We are happy to hear that you have noticed this commitment. Our consultants join us with a vast variety of experience, knowledge, and skillsets, and we do our best to ensure that the projects on which they work match not only their interests, but also provide an opportunity professional growth, including working in a team environment (almost 70% of our projects have multiple consultants working on them). Each consultant prepares a career development plan and the consultant is responsible for driving to achieve this --- we provide mentoring as well as training, leadership, and specific project opportunities to help them achieve their goals. This is but one of the many reasons we were awarded Seattle Magazine’s 2nd Best Company to Work For in 2016 for the large company category and we believe this is also a reason why our voluntary turnover has continually declined (currently a 50% decline over the past year) . Our clients consistently give us high marks for investing in understanding their business and providing value-added advice to their projects. Our consultants excel in this environment, and we consistently promote a healthy percentage of our employees each year as they take on new and challenging leadership opportunities.

Pros

I first connected with a Logic20/20 recruiter in Aug '15 and finally joined the company in Mar '16. The onboarding timeline - from initial meeting, to successive interviews, to job placement - took longer than I would have hoped, but my counterparts at Logic20/20 were very open and honest throughout the process. I always knew what to expect, had scheduled times to check-in with my recruiter, and was given ample opportunity to meet with prospective clients. It was worth the wait and I am very happy with my new company and my first client. I feel that I was set up for success and intend to deliver accordingly.

Cons

After a lengthy recruiting and onboarding process, I suddenly had a very compressed schedule to begin work both at Logic20/20 and with my client.. I essentially had to learn two jobs at once, feeling like I was in over my head. That being said, I was able to "tread water" after two weeks.
