Pros

Good initial job after college to get some experience on paper I suppose

Cons

Toxic company culture, teaching folks the only way to sell is through aggressive sales tactics. Not a livable wage and teaching folks to memorize scripts, not actual sales methods

Wow, I am very surprised to hear this. It has been our experience that those who step foot in one of our locations or talk to us, quickly come to find that our ethics and values are the foundation of the company. This has resulted in winning numerous ethics awards year after year and being named a Global Partner of the Year. We have both Quality Assurance, and Quality Control teams, which are responsible for monitoring and assessing all communications to ensure accuracy and tone. Beyond that, these teams review every new account being onboarded to ensure the services being offered are right for the client. Being aggressive or bullying would be counterproductive to all of these efforts. I’m sorry to hear that it wasn’t the right fit for you.

Pros

If you put in the work and learn the product, you have a great support system to begin your sales career from the ground up. The office has a competitive but supportive feel that never feels cut-throat. Performance is appropriately rewarded and you have ample opportunities to move up in an office that is rapidly growing.

Cons

If you are looking for an easy job, this is not the position for you. Sales is a career where you are directly compensated for your effort and performance, and this job is no exception.

Pros

Abundance of resources, great teamwork, awesome people, benefits, top-end earning potential, snacks/coffee/atmosphere, great for learning the ropes of inside sales

Cons

Base pay is not a livable wage and the turnover is sickening - If I had to pick a number, I'd say 19/20 people don't last at this job for longer than a few months. It is hard. The market is very saturated, some people give it everything they've got and still get tossed out. Not making any excuses, there are definitely people who find success. They are just very few and far between. They will sometimes try to push all that ugly stuff under the bed and you'll just notice that five people from your office aren't there anymore. Coworkers drop like flies, it really is kinda sad to watch.

Thank you for the feedback. I’m glad there were some positive takeaways from your experience and that you met some good people while you were here. I appreciate the fact that your goal was to give this a balanced review, but the turnover number you mentioned is pretty far from reality. Over 30% of the team is in our top-tier President’s Club, which takes no less than a quarter to achieve, and over half of the sales team has been with us for more than a year. With that said, turnover is always something we are trying to improve by continuously refining our hiring and training processes, and it has improved every year we have been in business. I appreciate everything you did while you were with LP and wish you the best in all of your future endeavors. -Mike W.
