Pros

Honestly it was the remote work... til they took it away

Cons

Hiring people under the premise of remote work and then forcing them back into an office because you have to feel like you are in complete control and justify your real estate costs. Even though your employees are FAR more productive at home (studies have proven this time and time again). That and it's 99% white people and probably 85% white males.

Pros

Best benefits around. Top workplace. Fortune 500.

Cons

When you're employed, you're family. When they're done with you, you're dead. You will work the hardest you've ever worked, fall in love with the company, and build your life around it. Then one day they acquire another company or deem your department too expensive, and the chopping block is rolled out... I was ready and willing to devote the rest of my life to this company and was the senior of my department. Then they acquired another major partner, companies merged, employment overlapped, and I was no longer the senior. I was an expensive burden. They can easily find a way to push you out. They had me train 2 entry level people to replace my maxed out salary before letting me go with severance.

Political Rally during work hours! Inclusive culture!

Pros

It was great to participate in political rallies during work hours at the Marengo factory. Business processes seemed to have different scrutiny applied from plant to plant which seemed odd from a legal perspective. Very inclusive culture, age and capablity specifically. I sat near an elder person who would shout into a speaker phone to discuss home issues with their partner, and sporadically shout, perhaps it was tourrette's or some other medical issue.

Cons

none - all great culture
