Pros

Genuinely good people work for the company for the most part

Cons

Poor leadership. Employees are left out of the loop, yet expected to grow and come up with new ideas. Also just a very cheap company to work for - everything ranging from low salaries to not providing standing desks or even utensils/ cups in the cafeteria

Thanks for your feedback. LCS proactively communicates to employees in a number of ways including monthly all employee meetings and regular department newsletters. LCS also has green workplace initiatives in place including providing recycling, motion sensor lights, and encouraging the use of reusable utensils and cups.

Pros

I've worked at LCS for 10 years and have moved from Product Support to various positions within the company. I can truly say that there is opportunity for growth in your career here. I've seen employees from Product Support move to Director and Management positions. No two days are EVER the same; always something new to discover or learn and our customers really appreciate our efforts to support them. Check us out; you may want to be part of this wonderful team!

Cons

Since I LOVE working here, it's a little hard to come up with some "cons". Maybe the rapid and continued growth sometimes puts pressure on staff to "keep up" with the technology and the latest (and greatest) features being offered. The company is growing rapidly so it is hard to "know" everyone as you once did. This is a "con" because knowing your co-workers makes the workplace feel more like family. Not knowing people you pass in the hall is a bummer but nothing management is responsible for.

Pros

LCS has a beautiful new building, The employees are mostly top notch, There is a very strong focus on the customer. Some departments get lot of face time and attention from their managers and their departments grow as the business does. The company has an active social committee run by the employees. The pay is good.

Cons

The managers are very secretive about well everything. Even when people quit they are asked not to say anything and a email goes out 1-2 days prior to the employees last day. If you have an idea, complaint, or a request you will not hear back from most of the managers about it. Several of the small departments get over looked. They are over worked, under staffed, and seem to go unnoticed. Combine that with the Secretive nature or just plain lack of communication with those teams and it makes it very hard for them to do their job to the best of their ability. It also makes it hard to keep a positive outlook since you have no way of knowing if relief or if anything is going to change. Long hours, Expect long hours in most departments. While there are deadlines as with any company. Many of the long hours are a direct result of poor planning on projects timing from the management, the work load vs staffing not lining up, or the lack of resources to improve processes resulting in inefficiency.

Thank you for your thoughtful review. Since LCS has grown quickly it can be difficult to find qualified and trained employees to fill all roles within the organization. Last year we hired over 50 employees and recently we have implemented new programs that focus on increasing internal training and systems in order to put a larger focus on developing our current employees for future roles. Here at LCS communication is very important to us. Before making any type of announcement to all employees first we consider who the announcement might impact and have face to face conversations with each of those employees. While taking this approach may delay communication to others in the organization we feel that it's important to have appropriate conversations with those that are most impacted rather then rushing to make announcements to all employees.
