Pros

Gas and housing costs were covered while on the job, plus long hours make it possible to save up a decent amount of money.

Cons

Working 70 to 80 hours hours a week outside is very tiring. Often times you could work weeks without a single day off.

Safety is paramount at Loram. The work we do is dangerous. We value the safety of ALL of our employees at all times and would never knowingly allow anyone to use any substance that could alter their ability to safely perform their job. If you have information or a suspicion that anyone on a Loram machine has/ or is using a banned substance, please contact someone (anonymously if you desire) to report this. All Loram employees are screened for alcohol and drug use as a condition of employment. NO use of drugs or alcohol is permitted while on duty or for an established period before work. Additionally, all Loram field employees are subject to random drug checks. These are conducted periodically and whenever there is suspicion that someone on the crew may be using a forbidden substance. All the crew members are checked at the same time. This helps to minimizes any chance that someone on a Loram machine would be under the influence of a banned substance.
