Pros

Lowe's has a great 401k and Stock plan. Company match on 401k is up to 6%. Employees can purchase stock at a 15% discount from the regular market. Health benefits include medical, dental and vision. Lowe's also has an exstensive Lifetrack program that provides employees with the tools and information to lead healthier lives. Sales floor employees are given the opportunity to bonus each month depending on the sales in their individual departments. Employees also have the abilitly to bonus throughout the year depending on customer service scores and inventory shrink.

Cons

Most jobs in Lowe's are physically demanding. Most employees are expected to lift freight up to 50lbs daily. Due to staffing during the slow sales seasons, an employee may be asked to cover multiple departments, even if they do not have the proper training.

Pros

Professional work environment with opportunity for advancement. Lowe's is a company that gives you as much as you put in. Promotional opportunities are available for those who are willing to put in their time and dedicate themselves to the company. In addition, people are generally very helpful and will do their best to assist you with your job.

Cons

Lack of communication from management. Sometimes decisions are made which impact the lower levels of the organization, but these changes aren't communicated by management. This can often mass confusion and leads to people spinning their wheels as they don't know whether they can proceed on a current path or not.

Pros

A generally flexible working environment. There are opportunities to learn multiple departments within the store as well as transfer to them. Customer Focuses bonuses for simply doing your job are pretty decent throughout the year.

Cons

As a retail business weekends are a must for availability. Also with retail, customers can sometimes tend to be quite rude and demanding but generally not the case. Some cases of poor management often cause morale issues among floor employees.
