Pros

Stable work environment. Very little downsizing or jobs are eliminated. Pay and benefits are comparable with other retailing companies. Schedule flexibility.

Cons

Not good at work/life balance. Senior Management is not emphatic to associate's needs.

Pros

I loved the people I worked with.

Cons

The hours were very long and not very flexible. 8+ hour days ALL THE TIME. It was never possible to work a 4-5 hour shift on a day that you couldn't work all day.

Pros

You can make a modest, living wage.

Cons

The rotating work schedule can be difficult. The company is very sensitive to the economy - in bad times, you may be treated like a rented mule. There is no such thing as balancing work and home life at Lowe's. Lots of paperwork - even if you work the sales floor.
