Pros

Overtime is paid, not a salaried position

Cons

I feel that Loyal source’s system is set up by design to make it difficult for me to do my job and the veterans to get compensation. There is a QA process that ensures that every single DBQ that you submit is rejected. The veterans files are almost always messed up; someone from a 3rd party company picks and chooses what part of the veterans files are uploaded, which are almost always seriously lacking in information that I need to complete the DBQs. The 3rd party company not only uploads the veterans’ files but also makes my schedule. I’m not allowed to speak with anyone making my schedule and I’m almost always overloaded and veterans are always being scheduled inefficiently. I have to make time to complete DBQs and go through all the rejects that make no sense. One medical opinion DBQ can request multiple opinions that are scattered and don’t make sense. Many people in the process, including management, scheduling, and QAs are often non medical. Management is rude and clearly do not have a clue on what is going on at their clinics. Then they question me and act as if I’m the clueless one. I’ve only had half of the supplies and equipment that are needed to do the job. They limit diagnostics that can be done and then dictate to me what to or not to diagnose. They also dictate how things should be worded in the DBQs, then they will contradict themselves because every QA and/or examiner support wants something different. I find myself filling out examination forms in a way as to not get rejected rather than in a way that I would normally do that makes sense from a medical perspective. I mean, I’ve hated jobs before, but I really hate this job.

Thank you for your review. The DBQ process can be a complex system. The Q&A is a step we are required to take as the approval process is completed by Veteran Affairs. We advise all providers to make nothing but their medical professional opinion. Our program exists to expedite the review process for Veterans and assists them in getting the appropriate care they need and deserve. Your review will be assessed with our leadership team as we are unsettled to hear of any unprofessionalism coming from management and scheduling. All of our clinics are properly equipped as we have assisted in administering more than 300,000 medical exams over the last two years. We would like to sincerely apologize for your negative experience and thank you for your time with us.

Worst Company Ever

Pros

This is the worst company I have ever worked for throughout my more than 30 year career.

Cons

The massive management and IT disasters never end. You will be asked to compromise your ethics, manipulated, blindsided and fired if you speak up. They do not deserve the government contract that they have.

Pros

Some contractors, vendors and other support specialists are kind, competent people. Makes being in the trenches more bearable.

Cons

Cbp program leadership has zero background in actual program management; came from recruiting and worked up the ranks, which shows in a lack of ability to run the program effectively. Leadership had staff with no information about time cards approving contractor time. Leadership also offers promotions and then rescinds them to loyal staff invested in the program. Works a program across the US and cannot run a Teams meeting with showing PowerPoint slides. Office also spread Covid around with no regard for high risk individuals or employees with conditions that made them high risk. Would rather focus on forcing entry level employees to create company culture than actually support them in their roles. Turnover is high for a reason and leadership is not asked to be self reflective/
