Lacking Strategy

Pros

Great benefits, 401K, and salary competitive. They have global reach, make acquisitions which boosts the product portfolio, and are owned by Berkshire Hathaway. Attracts some bright people.

Cons

Rotating managers makes for inconsistent strategy. So big that one team doesn't know what the other team is doing. Don't do product or business marketing, which handicaps their success going to market. I was in a commercial position and there was no written strategy, no defined product benefits, and no market plan template to even create these things. Often the smart people don't listen to market facts gathered by the little people.

Pros

LSPI is a great company that is doing very well, even in the current oil market.

Cons

Its a smaller company inside a much larger one and it is unclear how difficult it will be to move between jobs/careers.
