Pros

-Beautiful Car -Used to have caring leadership until they all got demoted.

Cons

-The company has no employee value. -They demoted many of the leadership that actually cared about their employees -The prior leadership gave a stock raise a couple of months ago because of excellent performance and promised a promotion only for the new political leadership to fire the same employees without reason. -They let go many of the veterans of lucid who received stocks before the company went IPO. -It's all politics now and they only want employees who will work robotically without question of better processes.

Pros

Great Product Ideas Great company Mission Free snacks and soda

Cons

The company as a whole: - Nondiverse leaders - Terrible at communications - Running on improvisions - Clumsy processes - Subpar Compensation & Benefits (No annual merit increase) - Questionable company culture and values. The HR(people) Department is run like a dictatorship and they continue to hire upper management with a similar mindset. The current leader came from Samsung and his management skills are questionable as he is not a people's person at heart. HR continues to emphasize wellness and health, but they don't put much effort into it. For example, they sent out greeting cards in the mail to say "Stay Healthy". It would've been better to have recognized employees by hosting an employee appreciation event for a week with free meals. I can't say for other departments but HR won't value your findings when you identify gaps or bottlenecks of the current processes, they'll hear you out, but they won't take into consideration of the positive impact of your proposed ideas. Again this is tied to the dictatorship management style. An example would be in Schindler's List (the movie) the scene where the engineer informs the SS officer about the poor foundation of the building. She gets killed on-site and then the SS officers take her feedback to rebuild the building. That's the style at Lucid Motors.

Pros

If you are an engineer who wants to make an impact Lucid is the place for you. As a software engineer, you are able to design algorithms to improve the car and immediately see the impact you've made whether it is in powertrain controls or user experience. The company is focused on delivering the best car on the market and takes an aggressive yet pragmatic approach to technological risk. For the engineer, this means every day is exciting as you get to work on the latest technology. The culture was great. No serious idea was ignored and coming to work I always felt I was working with my friends to make the best car out there.

Cons

Lucid has taken on a big challenge after raising a $1B round recently. If you're a person who doesn't deal with ambiguity, it might be a tough place, however if you're a leader who wants to leave your mark on the automotive world, this place is for you.
