Pros

Some great people in the individual contributor ranks at Lucidworks.

Cons

The executive team is neither cohesive, nor experienced. We repeatedly heard about the next big thing, but it never came. The "vision" seemed to change on a whim and teams never knew what to expect next. Frequently we would hear from the top ranks about the future and a really great picture would be painted for the company, but ultimately nothing ever panned out. It has become a revolving door of toxicity and disappointment. The values were given lip service at best.

Pros

There are some talented people at Lucidworks

Cons

Lucidworks feels like a fake company, a revolving door of product and people that aren't actually doing anything meaningful for customers. The product pivots without justification, and it feels like a handful of people are laid off or hired every week. Leadership, strategy, compensation, accountability, and roles are clear as mud. Meanwhile, the people team pushes corporate values like "Honor People" that the company clearly doesn't live by. There's no course correction here. There's no IPO. The latest investor is a private equity firm prepping to dump the company. If you are considering Lucidworks for employment, don't waste your time. Run. There are a thousand other more promising companies in the sea.

A Downward Spiral

Pros

Flexibility to work from home on occasion.

Cons

Big, fancy offices are a cover-up for what is going on behind closed doors. Nobody on the HR team knows which way is up. Violations left and right and instead of righting wrongs, it’s all swept under the rug. Mass layoffs because the product is a sham. This company is a disaster, plain and simple. Directives are unclear and if you don’t agree with their crazy ideals, you’ll be given the boot.
