Pros

A bit more detail, my experience here has been overwhelmingly positive. Moving to a hybrid model after working remote for the past 3 years took a little getting used to. However it is a compromise I am happy with. Hybrid breaks up my week very nicely and I get to see the majority of my co-workers who I adore! Not only that but our People Ops team continuously goes out of their way to make the office a safe place and comfortable for all! Speaking of! Snacks and drinks are provided! They usually change every so often but there is a nice variety to choose from at any point. Alongside the free snacks and drinks, we are given a Lunchdrop account that allows you to easily order food to the office. While not free, it helps if you're in a time crunch, or just forgot to bring your food, you have a nice alternative to grab and go when you're in office. Before I give the impression that full in office work would be great, let me switch to WFH days. While we are not in office 100% of the time, WFH days truly allow for productivity to flourish. It's nice seeing your coworkers but getting to lock in and knock out tasks from your home office is still the best. The culture that has been fostered here allows us to not miss the support we need even when we are working from home. If we go back to full remote, I know that I will be supported no matter what, which is a big comfort for me. Staying on the topic of culture. The people that work here are 2nd to NONE. We all work towards a common goal and understand nothing is perfect. It's with that understanding that we all know we have to play our part. My immediate leadership provides me with all the tools needed to accomplish my/our goals no matter how big or small. I'll wrap up with Pay and benefits. Pay for the most part is very competitive. I feel that they take experience into account and while pay will most likely never be “good enough” as that is just the world we live in, for what I was offered, I feel it was fair. On the same coin, I feel that they focus on growth from within and invest in their employees. While sometimes it can be in a roundabout way, I feel that I matter here or that my voice has some weight behind it. Lastly, benefits. Full spectrum of insurance offered including life, health, vision, and dental. Not much to say here since insurance is insurance and I don't feel that its much better or worse than others. 401ks are offered here as well! Oh did I mention Unlimited PTO!! Take what you need! As long as your work gets done and your team is good, take that extra long weekend. You've earned it! Overall, there are so many pros to working here! I would recommend this place to anyone who is a team player and wants to build something great! Bring your A game, and make a difference!

Cons

Cons. When you are going through this section, please know that you can adore something AND understand or acknowledge the flaws. Nothing is perfect, but as long as we keep an open mind and want to improve we can improve together. In office enforcement. As of now, we are expected to go in office 2 days a week. A great compromise as I stated above. However, this only seems to apply to some teams and personnel. While I understand that some teams do benefit from full in office work, making all of us subject to the same scrutiny really is an issue for me. Senior leadership outside of 2 or 3 (that I consistently see) do not come into the office at all or the majority are fully remote. I almost always hear after an executive visit this threat to bring us back to full in office work since attendance is not satisfactory. The actual data on how they measure attendance or what is deemed as satisfactory has yet to be disclosed. Without knowing what team or who is at fault, it makes it seem that all of us are the problem. We cant improve, and we cant fix it. All it does is create tension and unease where it is least needed. As far as I know, everyone that I have talked to both high and low, almost unanimously agrees that full in office work is disliked or unwanted. Im not sure who keeps this going or why. For me personally, I know this is a deal breaker so this threat to return to full in person work is even more unwelcome. I wholeheartedly disagree with the “rules for thee but not for me” and if they (C-suite / Upper management) want to truly enforce this, they themselves should be in office alongside everyone else. Keeping with upper management. Ive noticed that while they try their best to listen to all feedback, they seem to listen more to one group and stay with one group. While I can not go into detail here, for our current goals and projects we need to take into consideration opinions of those that are working hand in hand with customers. Those that are on the front lines and that has to help these customers. Only having surface level meetings about a process that has clear flaws will not be sustainable or profitable in the long run. Speaking of...meetings! I'm not going to lie. I like a good productive meeting. However, some of these can be an email or better yet a chat group. With the current work load, taking time out of the day to have an ‘update’ meeting, where the only update is that there are none, can add up and hurts our productivity. I personally have it made as my meetings are manageable, but wasting time on minuta at this stage is an issue for me especially as I continue move up here. Lastly, work load. We are a small team. I love that! However, at the moment it seems that the majority of the work gets placed on mid tier employees and below. Those same people whose feedback would help steer us in the right direction, are also being asked to step up even more and take on other responsibilities without increase in pay or real recognition. I understand playing your part and wanting to do your best. However, I myself at times have been stretched so thin that things do fall through the cracks. I also see the workload take a toll on those above me. It's times like this that we need leadership to lead by example, take initiative and offer help or guidance that isn't influenced by few. Over all the ‘cons’ are things that we can improve on over time. There is not a single systematic issue here that would be at the top of my list when recommending this place to someone. I do believe that leadership will address these issues and come to a compromise if they cant flat out fix them.

Tenure has a clear path

Pros

Everything, this is the first job I have ever seen where tenure past 7 months- 1 year is actually realistic without burnout. Hiring is not a cattle call situation, you legitimately feel like the right person for the job, not just a person to fill a seat. I can not speak more highly of this role, of the management and of the company.

Cons

I got used to working from home, but even that isn't a real con just more of a performance. The hybrid model is the next best thing

Pros

Digital Pharmacist had some turnover in management last year as they began moving into their next growth stage. It was a challenging time, no doubt, but the current leadership impressed me with the speed that they put together a new plan. And they were executing well when I left (I'll get to why I left in a minute.) Here are a few highlights from my time at DP: Compensation for Account Executives is very competitive, lucrative even at times. They put employee health over profits. Customer support is top notch, which is helpful to sales because it reduced churn of customers. The pharmacy industry is niche, but they taught me a ton and I was able to start hitting my numbers within 60-90 days. However, they have a 90 day ramp up period so that was nice to have the time to learn and get up to speed. Current leadership is experienced and in my opinion, solid. Current direction of the company is up and to the right. When I left, they'd already started buying up competitors. They're forming strategic partnerships in the space, and building new solutions for salespeople to take to market. <<-- This last point is very important, as one of the reason's sales were slowing was due to lack of innovation in the product set. Also, competitors were catching up,. But they are now building new products and features, and/or acquiring companies/technologies to take to market that the pharmacy industry desperately needs. I have already heard from my former coworkers that they are making good money again in sales. Seeing it from the inside, I know for a fact that many of the other employees who left bad reviews on here are heavily biased, not fully transparent and in many cases totally untrue. Most of the management are seasoned vets, but new to the company. Because they were recently hired for a growth phase, if you get hired they will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy and have the tools you need to do the job.

Cons

For a while there, product innovation lacked. The packages we were selling were getting stale. And competitors who were formerly getting crushed by Digital Pharmacist began to match features and or lower prices. That's the main thing that hurt DP for a while. It wasn't the people you worked with. It was pressure to sell the same products when competition had caught on and matched you. Not the case now as I mentioned above. Like I said, the main reason Digital Pharmacist had problems was due to the lack of product innovation. They need to continue to listen to the salespeople (who are listing to the pharmacists and what they need in their business.) Honestly the only reason I left the company is because of an opportunity that came to me to work for a start up, in which I was offered equity in the company and total compensation that would've been insane to refuse. Otherwise I would have stayed with the people I was working with at DP and reaped the benefits of a company moving into their next stage of growth.
