Pros
The company's mission is to help people, which is a great change from many other businesses in the Bay Area. We are constantly innovating, literally creating a new consumer field, and because of this there is lots of room to grow and lead new projects. Lumos also believes heavily in a work / life balance, allowing unlimited vacation time, paying for gym memberships, and more. A mostly flat organization allows a lot of mobility and respect for people no matter where they are.
Cons
The flat organization can sometimes work against the company, making it more difficult to commit to decisions. As a result, sometimes Lumos moves too slowly when it needs to be fast. Since mostly everything the company does is data driven, this can slow things down further.
