Pros

Meh. I've met some good friends working there. Lot's of good people at the ground level. At the time we had free health benefits which I did truly appreciate.

Cons

Frank Suryan is an arrogant and rude person and it trickles down to his management team. This company tries to portray itself as a community builder and one that cares about things other than profits but that is really the bottom line with these folks. I felt completely undervalued and upper management very rarely had my back on important issues. Typical corporate nonsense here, I know very few people that have left the company on favorable terms.

Pros

None I don't have one single pro for this company. Worked here for a couple years and little do they know I have my resume out and about

Cons

If you notice they've made Faldo review in May 26 and 27 (I'm sure there HR did this) to lighten the terrible reviews they had. The company is aweful and I've worked for other property management companies before this by far is the worst!!!

Pros

The office was recently renovated (koi pond, espresso maker, patio, ping pong table). They just rebranded as they are striving to be the Tesla or Apple of the apartment industry as they want to be an experience-driven company for what it is worth.

Cons

Extremely high turnover. Every leadership role for each group (Accounting, Operations, Investments, HR, IT, etc.) has changed at least once in the past 2 years. There were significant layoffs in November 2015. I understand people come and go, but the high turnover rate not only at the lower levels, but at the upper levels is very alarming. Morale is very low and HR knows it as they are trying to make it fun by hosting events recently, but these events are very short lived since they don't improve the workflow. Compensation is average at best. Lot's of infighting and "throwing people under the bus" among the recent people assuming leadership roles..........a very toxic and dramatic environment in the past 2 years. I would only recommend to take a job at Lyon Living if you are truly desperate since you will most likely be looking for another job within a year once you realize how dysfunctional and unorganized the company is. Most people don't last more than 2 years max. Don't be fooled by the renovated office, Lyon Living is as dysfunctional as a company can be. In conclusion, Lyon Living = a very poor man's Irvine Company.
