Competitive salary Flexible working hours and vacation Free lunches and snacks Happy hours Employee-paid massages and yoga on-site

Cons

Misleading communication on actual status of the product and position of the company. Management itself appears to be unsure of the path they want to bring their product and expertise to. This may be true to all start-ups, but Lytro does not exercise caution on their operating expenses. Not the strongest individual contributors on the team that I was a part of. They're not receptive to improvements and some are just plain bullies.

- Catered launches are fantastic - Open policy on remote work - Competitive salary and benefits - Extremely smart coworkers, across departments - Great ideas and technology, with great potential for growth - Products and new product plans are in a set of verticals I actually care about - Great value placed on your skills and eye as a photographer - Gear heaven

Cons

Coming in right before the pivot, I'd settled into a set of priorities. While the post-pivot shift leans towards a set of directions which enthuse me, the roller coaster emotional ride has been a touch unsettling. This will even out with time, and with successes.
