Pros

The people are great and it is a very collaborative environment. The environment is very cooperative and I have found that co-workers are almost always willing to help with a question or new system, even in different offices and business units.

Cons

The company has seemed to grow very quickly and could use more updated systems to match the growth.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad to hear you enjoy the internal culture at MACOM! As the new CIO, one of my goals is to work with the different departments to ensure they have the optimal platforms to succeed in their jobs. I'd be interested to learn more about the systems which could benefit your team - if you'd like to discuss, let me know. Or if you'd rather, you could offer more detail in this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/macomglassdoor -Pranab Sinha, CIO

Pros

I work with great people and I can work on pretty much anything I want. Pace is fast and work is enjoyable.

Cons

There is too much on the plate and it can be overwhelming. Compensation is light compared to my peers at other companies.

I appreciate your feedback, and I’m glad that you are enjoying the people and working environment at MACOM. Hearing your perspective is important to me, and helpful in understanding what may be a lack of communication that exists, relaying MACOM’s strategy and key focus areas internally. If you are feeling a lack of focus in your day-to-day activities, that is an issue MACOM will certainly address. Our most valuable asset is our employees, and it sounds like we can be doing a better job at communicating our strategy internally. I would encourage you to speak to your supervisor or manager for additional clarity. To address your second point, it is difficult to compare compensation with peers across companies without understanding additional details, e.g. benefits, location, experience and industry. Many factors go into determining compensation packages, and as MACOM values our employees and strives to offer competitive total compensation packages, this is a topic always under review. Based on your concern, I’d suggest speaking with your local HR partner to discuss further. Thank you for your honest feedback, I hope you found this response helpful. -MACOM

Our company has grown exponentially over the last few years, and some significant re-organization has duly been required to align ourselves for continued success. We do recognize change can cause temporary disruption, and are working toward making adjustments more seamless. Many factors go into determining total compensation packages, and this topic is always up for consideration.
