Pros

this is a lead architect job. title does not mean any thing this is not a hands on job. expect no hands on. excellent pay and benefits.

Cons

no hands on java at all. if u are working with IBM offshore expect horrors. . this is a complete chaos. no proper documentation development guidelines build scripts or even version control for a huge project. people don't even know how to use version control. they use version control to create directories and copy code from one release to another. no SDLC, IBM will do what ever and u have no control over it as slightest change will result IBM asking for 6 month delay and u get blamed. They are planning to Buy and integrate IBm products. so there may be less scope for development work

Pros

Maersk has great benefits especially their retirement programs!

Cons

The Board changed, they lost sight their long-held mission statement of Customers 1st and replaced it with profits first.

Pros

World class product, infrastructure and internal support for sales. Marketing team is hands on, supportive and gets incredible data to you. Field sales is mostly virtual and as long as sales and CRM numbers hit, you will generally be left alone. Good collaboration on sales teams and most inside sales support is top notch.

Cons

You had better like to spend a lot of time in the CRM, Salesforce.com. Management insisted upon a canned sales pitch approach to be done at every sales call, even if you have nothing to sell. Some sales managers are woefully divorced from the everyday stresses and needs of shippers and instead focus on how "the sales process" was followed, than actually caring about service delivery. The pay is below industry for some, especially for new hires to sales.
