Pros

The staff members are amazing. Everyone goes above and beyond to care for the residents with little support. Even the local management is great, if they weren't obligated to follow the idiotic guidelines that the home office sets. Helping the residents is so rewarding and I really feel close to a lot of them. Good benefits if you are full time, but the pay is so low it isn't actually worth it.

Cons

CORPORATE! The higher you get in the company, the more fake they are. Headquarters is constantly handing out rules to supposedly benefit the residents, but their only focus is sales and marketing: they only care about getting people to move in, they don't care about how they're treated after the fact. The home office is quick to reprimand you if you don't instantaneously follow every ridiculous piece of red tape to a T, but they never follow through on their end. You will get in trouble for more than a 24 hour turn around on paperwork, emails, etc, but then they will take months to do their part. Our facility used to be incredibly successful because the employees felt like one bug family and treated the residents with love and kindness, but the more that the upper management gets involved and pushes marketing above all else, the more sales and census decline, you'd think they'd get a clue! Budgets are directly related to census, even on overhead costs, so being at a much smaller facility means we need to accomplish the same grandiose activities, food, etc as a facility twice our size, but we don't actually have the budget for it. Most of the budget gets chopped at staff wages, so we can't pay enough to keep people more than a couple of months.

Pros

None other than residents and families.

Cons

Everything-liars and when they are caught lying and called out, you get in trouble. So many options, don't choose this one!

Pros

some of the properties they are nice, decent health beneifts

Cons

They could careless about seniors. They are a real estate company that decided to get into senior living through acquiring properties. All they are concerned about is census. They are arrogant about it too and will just show up at properties, change things, fire people and then leave without a care about anybody. And, they spin their culture into one of "we care about the communities etc." Don't be fooled. Low class ambulance chasers.
