Rewards not matching efforts. Inconsistencies in many areas, not addressed by HR. Poor culture, too many things swept under the carpet & not dealt with. Carrots dangled and promises made, frequently let down. The business does some things right, some staff are ‘lifers’ for better or worse. Several different owners in the past decade means instability and forever moving goalposts. Could do so much better. Printing offset in a non climate controlled environment is asking for trouble too.

MCC Cwmbran used to be a good company to work for, until the new MD took over around 3years ago. It now feels very much like a sinking ship. It’s all take take take without making any of the employees valued. I’ve never worked for a company where I’ve just felt like just ‘a number’ until now. This is a business where 4 years ago you would rarely hear of someone leaving the company but now there are numerous people either leaving looking for other work. It feels very much like a military camp on the shop floor now and I’m pretty sure we won’t be allowed to smile soon. We seem to have lost a huge amount of work since the new MD took over and changed the whole culture of the Cwmbran site so in my opinion the powers that be need to put someone else in charge.
