      Pros

      Benefits, flextime, possible telecommuting, I stayed way past the time I should have left ... Due to the great benefits .. In the end I know I should have left for my own sanity

      Cons

      I was actually asked to commit fraud by my manager to bill Medicare patients without the ability to look up documentation for medical necessity. in fact, i was written up for looking at documentation because it cut into the production time and numbers. I went to HR, called the hotline .. Which goes right back to the institution and compliance did nothing about it ...

      Pros

      The best benefits hands down. There are long term perks to working at the company that you'll benefit from even after you retire. Depending on the field of work you are in, this is a place for great networking opportunities. Due to MDACC being a research/teaching institution, there are many educational opportunities.

      Cons

      Unless you are a nurse, PA, or upper level management, the pay is not where is should be. You will most likely find yourself doing more than your job requires with little to no compensation for it. It is extremely hard to move around. Department Managers have a strong influence in employees being able to leave their department. There is no work life balance.

      Pros

      We work in support of a good cause. In IT, you have the chance to be exposed to a huge amount of technologies.

      Cons

      Upper management (President, CIO, and the level below them) appears to be incompetent. Morale is horrible throughout the institution, including in the IT division. Changes are being made that make no sense, years of improvements are being undone. I would not recommend this as a place to work.
