Pay raises are very slow, small, and full of bureaucracy (promotions take almost a year after approval). In the place I am at, the turnover is crazy high because of this. They have lost a lot of good talented people for this simple fact. Some people are rude and two-faced, especially the Ph. Ds lol. But this is just every workplace I assume. It's a huge company with a lot of 'big -company' blah blah that makes everything slow.
