      Pros

      The work/life balance is great. Most people don't work more than 40 hours/week, and the work isn't very demanding if you know what you're doing. You can usually find work that interests you, even if it doesn't quite match your background. It feels like the company and everyone there cares about your well-being.

      Cons

      Quality of projects can vary widely. Some are fun and challenging, others not so much. It's hard to move up without moving into management. As a hands-on technical person, it can be hard to find like-minded individuals on the same project.
