      access to trainings beautiful facilites brilliant colleagues in building gym classes excellent cafeteria

      Cons

      rigid hierarchy ingrained superiority complex of higher level technical staff towards adminstrators lack of kindess and respect despite programs to the contrary multi supervisor structure - I was bullied by two of my four supervisors and repeatedly asked for help and took them to HR for multiple violations - one even told me it was easier for her if I quit in an HR meeting rather then training me or helping me and nothing was ever accomplished or held them accountable

      Pros

      I really do feel like my work is in the public interest and helps people. I love the research I do, but funding for research is hard to come by.

      Cons

      Managing projects sucks and getting managed on projects sucks too. Your actual manager is so disconnected from your project work that they’re basically useless. It’s also sometimes very hard to find good projects internally and if you’re under allocated it looks really bad.
