Challenging Environment - Morale is Low

Excellent colleagues who bring top skills and expertise to help solve complex problems for the federal sector. Key benefits (retirement, healthcare and education) remain solid.
Cons
Rapid deterioration in morale given recent layoffs and mismatch between work and staff. Given the hiring we are doing, why not have allowed those staff to apply for other positions. Many talented colleagues are looking for projects and it puts all of us in the mode of internal job hunting if not for ourselves for our colleagues as there is not indirect funding. The concern about further layoffs is real and yet we continue to hire. Our leadership was excellent during the pandemic with factual, direct communication and time for Q&A. Recent comms have been quite the opposite.
