MITRE reviews

A lot of people think they know their stuff, but that's rarely the case. I used to work in big tech and have a lot of peers who do similar work in much higher quality companies. The difference in how people carry themselves is day and night. The depth of understanding that is sought after at MITRE is very surface level. Not many passionate people here.

Outdated ideas of remote work and flexibility, especially on the corporate side. CEO flips between building up goodwill with employees, then doing a complete 180 and alienating employees. Management from top on down often doesn’t communicate very well and surprised everyone with policy decisions. Although the company says they are all about career growth and the ease of moving to whatever interests you, it is actually quite difficult to move around the company.
