      Pros

      The biggest pro by far at Mitre is how easy going and flexible everything is. You start out with 21 days paid vacation, and you can take even more than that off if you flex your time and use some of their other options where you make up time during later pay periods. It's very easy to work from home as well, and to maybe head out early on Friday or step out for a few hours one afternoon to grab a nice lunch or go for a run and then make up the time whenever.

      Cons

      The software that I've worked on here is ancient and in desperate need of a rewrite. More time is spent debugging it and figuring out how it works than actually writing any code. Also the pay is definitely far below market value. I find the work pretty boring to be honest, but it might be better in other departments.
