      Senior Leadership Not Listening to Employees

      I don't understand how there can be so many negative reviews here about senior leadership and yet we are seeing nothing at MITRE to fix it. It is very clear that people want to like MITRE because there is interesting work, great middle managers and coworkers, and historic stability for long-term career and growth, but it is so hard when the senior leaders continue to make decisions that negatively impact their employees and don't listen or take any accountability of their mistakes! Leadership thinks that their employees can't read between the lines with all the changes to benefits and reorgs, but we can, and it makes it even worse that they try to act like we are wrong.

      Pros

      Wonderful colleagues! We go some wonderful engineering work accomplished for our federal customers, including a search engine before Google and other search engines were a thing. Excellent collaboration and team work at the time.

      Cons

      The CEO has ruined the company and most accomplished and smart engineers have left the firm. Current middle managers and directors are just waiting their turn to retire.

      Where to start ? As stated , cuts to benefits with little time for employees to prepare, but what few have touched on , all this is being done with an increase in VPs ? It's shameful . MITRE has always had an abundance of arrogance but senior leadership has taken this to new heights. VPs with little to no technical background . It's astonishing ! This could never happen in a for profit company. I'd be prepared for more cuts.
