Pros

Stellar benefits, especially the 401(k) matching. They also recently rolled out fertility benefits with Progyny, which would be a big boon especially to workers in their thirties. The number and variety of projects and teams means that you can switch over to what interests you if your current role is not a good fit.

Cons

The pay could be better - anecdotally it seems Lincoln compensates its employees better.

Pros

-Have the ability to say yes or no to any project that comes your way -Managers fully respect your time outside of work -Lots of interesting work across many different domains

Cons

-Have to find your own projects to work on and if someone screws up on their budgeting, you'll take the hit -Typical cons of working with the government - terrible documentation and how-to's on critical trainings/processes/requirements -Everyone charges their time to the specific projects their working on so people don't love having casual conversations because thats technically on your personal time -Make a decent amount starting out but raises and promotions after that are minimal

Pros

MITRE has a very impressive home / work balance. The company also has great people from the top down. More senior employees always take time out of their days in order to help mentor newer employees making for a great learning enviroment.

Cons

None that I can think of.
