Stability was the only reason why I stayed and great full package benefits.
Cons
No opportunity to grow or get promoted! Yearly raises were cheap and boost medical insurance every year after a raise.. Breaks even again.. So it's like you're not getting a raise. Co workers really suck! Alot of gossip and nosy people. Management, group leaders, and supervisors all kiss butt one another and they do favoritism, so be prepared for retaliation when you go against them.

Have been working for MKS for many years. Found it very easy to move to new/better positions, which gives you a more informed idea of what the company does. Pay does keep up/or slow down with the times. Great benefits and I have a very flexible work schedule. I am NOT management, but feel very useful, important to the company, and appreciated. I do understand some of the comments regarding management, but I feel that it is mainly those who were hired from outside. Having been here for many years, I've seen many of the executives climb the ladder from the trenches! They deserve their positions.....some others don't....
Cons
Some bad choices are made when it comes to who gets laid off during cyclical downturns.

The benefit package is unbeatable. Even my Dr. sister doesn't have health insurance this affordable both on premium and deductible
Cons
The legacy players dominate the field and are not open to improvement suggestions downstream. Very little room for growth and you will be asked to do 5 people's jobs.
