Felt like working for a family. Pay is pretty good because everyone is hourly.

Cons

No work-life balance. 401k needs improvement and no vacation for staff the first year. After the first year only get 1 week. If you are in the field you live at work.

Home office in Baton Rouge is a great lace to be, learn, and, grow. Pay is average. Good starting job to get you ready for a future career somewhere else.

Cons

Once you get to Estimator or project engineer at a district office be prepared to be stuck in that position forever even after good reviews from others. Unless you are from louisiana / went to LSU, and willing to let them move you around how they please, only then will you progress.
