Midwest does try to pay their employee's well.

Cons

Poor resource management tires crews out prematurely. Dispatch makes supervisor decisions that they should not.

There’s competitive pay and the crews are amazing to work with

Cons

Management is power hungry and always has an excuse for everything. They aren’t on top of medications and or equipment orders/maintenance. The rigs are all old/breaking down and MKE is not prioritized. They treat the madison division like their baby. Management is also hot headed and brash on their decisions; they have not made one good decision since taking over and they make empty promises regarding pay and bonuses. They have a new pay incentive they’re putting in place; new employees get better wages than current employees. Current employees have to qualify for the same pay. Dispatch is very emotional and can have bad attitudes with crews at times. You get run into the ground pretty much every shift with little time for breaks.

- good pay for EMS - lots of patient contacts (typically 5+ calls per shift)

Cons

- company puts money BEFORE patient care, patient safety, and crew/employee safety - POOR/nonexistent management - always short staffed - expired, missing, or nonfunctional equipment
