Pros

Generous PTO. They will provided whatever hardware and software is needed to do your job. IT department is very helpful. Some good, hard-working people who try their best.

Cons

This place starts out ok, but things unravel, and a toxic reality is revealed. It’s a family-owned company so there’s some favoritism among certain family and friends. The office space itself is dated and worn, especially for a technology company—think Dunder Mifflin (minus the quirky fun characters). Pre-pandemic, when full staff was in the office, noise levels were significant, yet never addressed. There were instances where blatantly abrasive, unprofessional, and bad behavior towards some people go completely unchecked. MNJ preaches about having and building a great company culture but it’s just that, talk only. No amount of cheery smiles, high-fives, and hoorays cover up the disorganization, frustration, and lack of positive morale. Some leadership, one in particular, has repeatedly and openly displayed rude, disrespectful behavior towards various teams/staff members—even yelling and berating people—with a level of ego, arrogance and narcissism that’s crystal clear. Leadership claim they want input, empowerment and ownership for their teams, but any real autonomy or input is quickly squashed, and all ideas and direction boil down to basically one or two individuals. Gossipy leaders, insensitivity, lack of compassion and empathy are notable as well—all while they claim great culture and their staff is like family. Do not believe the hype of any "best places to work" awards they have won recently. There are many people just trying to stay employed and keep a paycheck until they find something better. Leadership/managers at MNJ are on a never-ending meandering path to nailing down solid direction for the organization and the people in it—it's an endless moving target of their own creation. To top it off, there’s a chronic lack of transparency—and what is shared cannot be trusted.

Pros

Great people to work with. Lots of room to grow and be challenged. Independent work is encouraged but support and mentoring is always there for us.

Cons

No cons really ... the pandemic has been a challenge like it has for everyone, but we've all been working remotely and look forward to getting back in the office when it is safe to do so.
