Pros

Pre Covid the team was irreplaceable. The team atmosphere amongst employees was unmatched. Management was always all over the place, however the sales and design team was unstoppable.

Cons

Managers constantly acting like children. They had a group slack where they would talk about their teams and screen shot private convos. One manager was known for making off color jokes about race and sexuality. In April of 2020 they laid off 90% of the sales team via email. A few short weeks later they laid everyone off and paid them half their promised PTO. On 11/1/2022 we all receive a bill of $300 for being overpaid!!!!!!! A company that took so much when we had so little is now billing us almost 2 years later?

Pros

The people were great Product leaders, in particular, were incredibly passionate and enthusiastic about the future, they had made some great hires at SPM HOP and PD level in the previous 18 months. It really felt exciting and that we were going places. Lovely office

Cons

They removed the entire Product management dept due to the pandemic. incredibly shortsighted. Also if you didn't fit in, it was incredibly obvious and uncomfortable, could be very cliquey.

Pros

Hiring is really strong, get great folks with a good cultural match. Tech projects are interesting (for most teams), tech stack increasingly cool (not all microservices but increasingly getting there - there is still a large monolithic code base but company making good progress to isolate / move away from it). Amazing to work on stuff that you can tangibly see the output of with the cool print products. Very people focused. Intentions across the company are good. There are cool initiatives to work together better, improve diversity and wellbeing, even little shout-out things like Deliveroo rewards for shout-outs across the company.

Cons

Promotions are limited with most of senior leadership & directors hired into their roles from outside the company - no real individual contributors at this level so very management focused. Lot of time spent on planning things in senior circles, which can feel sometimes like context was missed and therefore the feedback loop is slow - linked to fact that many decisions made with breadth and not depth of knowledge.
