Pros

A good opportunity to get your foot in door with a software company. Some of the training can be used to further your career elsewhere.

Cons

There is a frat-like environment on the sales floor and favoritism is shown to employees that "fit-in". Territories are distributed accordingly. Some employees have quotas that are near impossible to meet. The product is a luxury and not a necessity for the majority of the companies that are prospected.

Pros

Very relaxed work environment and ability to plan your own day. A "it's what you make of it" type position that requires self-motivation and a competitive spirit.

Cons

The base salary makes it hard to stay committed to the work. The environment can verge on "too casual." HR is not very helpful when resolving internal disputes and on many occasions has turned away from issues that would result in termination at any other company. Too relaxed.
