Corporate seemingly getting money hungry. They took away tge funding for our Christmas parties, to which the in house supervisors management and higher busted their backsides to insure we still had by coming outta pocket.
Then there were multiple avenues for us to grow and move into different deptartments. This was all stripped away as we were all reclassified as ccrs. The advancement became smaller and more narrow to where we could advance and grow.
Then covid came... At first they were amazing. They offered us furlough, let us maintain our insurance (to be paid back upon return). Then someone ran a model showing that they were firing back up and needed help. So they brought like half of those on furlough back, and business didnt meet the expected growth.
The happening: MTM then decided to release 100 employees. With a severance package of hush money. No extended benefits. You had the option to continue your insurance with Cobra at full cost.
About that hush money. In order to get the severance pay, you had to agree to not discuss on social media of any sort that you were released, you were not allowed to speak poorly of MTM and their actions. You had to agree that if there were a lawsuit, you'd agree to testify on their behalf. Otherwise you didnt get the money.
Now one great thing is that you were told that you were 100% rehirable and would be able to come back when business needs were advanced and more help was needed....
2 weeks after they let 100 people go, business boomed. And corporate didnt allow the individual call centers to pick who they wanted to come back. They (corporate) just chose at random. Instead of letting the people who worked with those that were released choose who would do the job best.
