      Some talented and committed people but get lost in lack of strategy

      Compensation is fair Mace has secured and will continue to secure prestigious project e.g. Shard and 2012 Olympic Park Granted autonomy to deliver projects Benefits package is broad and rewarding Able to have a good work/life balance

      Little strategic direction, lack of understanding about the future Little concern for long term development or career progression Line management skills are weak across the board

      Pros

      A rapidly growing company with offices opening up in new countries all the time and some great high-profile projects in the UK. Made it through the credit crunch OK and now well set to recover well. Some great people to work with. Handy location between St Pancras and Camden. Nice, light and airy office with break-out space for lunch.

      Cons

      Slightly choatic, at least in Finance and Finance Systems. Very few processes are standardised, which makes it hard to know who is doing what and how you should proceed when you take over a new area of work. Each area of the business (and there are many) tends to work in a different way, which makes group consolidation difficult.
