Pros

They provide vacation days and benefit days..well they did until recently...They offer 20% discount.. If you have a set schedule then it makes the job more enjoyable.

Cons

This place just did a bunch of cuts that involved all the full time employees, most of them have been dropped to part time hours..people who have been with this company for many years are getting let go when they are now at ages where it may be hard to find new jobs and this has been their only source of income for so long..it was very upsetting to watch happen. They are pretty much trying to micromanage the store, people who started only recently that were doing the same job as me got moved up quickly to positions that I was actually in school for and I wasn't even CONSIDERED! They play favorites and don't see the actual work you put in if you're not a favorite of theirs..I don't see most stores in Tampa staying around too much longer..And the pay could be better..some people that were with the company for 5 years had only received a dollar raise in all that time!

Pros

Associate Discount Gratis for working in cosmetics

Cons

To much focus on credit People who get alot of credit are favored and get away with things others don't get away with, they are also more likely to get what they want from management, certain days off and work the hours they want, can also move up easier with no experience what so ever. Very little support from management. One day you are allowed to do something the next day it's against company policy. Can never get a straight answer out of management. Management has no respect for employees. They expect way too much from you, with no appreciation. Nothing is ever good enough for them, Employees are treated like children. Once you are at top pay, you will not get anymore raises. Can't take vacation time during big sales and holidays. They try to blackout everything so it is nearly impossible to take your vacation when you want.

Pros

Overall, working here was fun and laid back. The people I worked with were nice, and we were always busy with something to do. Sales were easy to accomplish at this fast paced, upscale mall, so even though I did not have a strong sales background, I was able to meet my daily goals and learned techniques for selling that were honest but still got the job done. What started as a holiday job for me, turned into a year and a half so it was a good experience.

Cons

It is very difficult to get time off. When you are granted the time off, getting paid time off hours that you have earned is challenging and often would not appear on my paycheck, forcing me to save it for later and go without pay. Management was hard to track down if you had a question or needed help with a customer, so I was often left to my best judgement on a customer issue.
