Pros

Great hours, when I first started I had a great manager but she ended up quitting two months after I was hired, there were a few very genuine associates in my area (woman's last act)

Cons

Horrible management, they just don't care about you. They are always under staffed, I was always by myself all day in my area and got zero help, sometimes I couldn't even take my breaks because no one wanted to cover me. I felt invisible and I never got any recognition for my hard work. I really enjoyed my hours but I had to quit, I refuse to work for a company that makes me feel like that. Also, you DO NOT get paid enough for all of the stress you endure, I've had customers make me cry because of how rude and disrespectful they were. Customers in Last Act are also the worst, they will throw clothes on the ground in front of you and trash the dressing room. Also the managers seem to not understand that almost every customer who shops at Macy's has a Macy's credit card, and that's all that they cared about, selling Macy's cards. And the managers will always expect you to do a two or three person job all by yourself and they won't ever help you even if they're just walking around chatting with other managers. Most of the time they just sit in the HR office and gossip.

Pros

Flexible hours to suit my needs. Great people to work with, fun, friendly. Generous employee discounts. Excellent training. A good place to build a career.

Cons

Low starting salaries. Store hours, especially during the holidays are not realistic if you have family. I understand the need to be competitive but when the public can shop online is it really necessary to be open Thanksgiving and 24 hours leading into Christmas?

Pros

Friendly leadership and a positive drive from all the managers. Helps me set goals. Try give me hours when I ask for them.

Cons

Small pay for how hard i work. I go home everyday completely exhausted and my paycheck is still quite small. Some people don't work hard at all and get paid just as much as me.
