Pros

Salary, Discount, loved my co-workers/peers for the most part

Cons

Review for Macys.com / SF Office: The company has declined since I started there years ago - many loyal long time employees let go, lots of bad politics/promotions for the wrong people (aka many bad/inexperienced managers). HR is continuously becoming more automated and less caring, to the point where people won't even bother coming forward with inappropriate conduct. Scaling down people means less bandwidth, and everyone is less inclined to collaborate/help one another. Healthcare is overpriced, transit is pre-tax, no stipends, low starting PTO (at least it rolls over), company "matching" is extremely low; not really any good benefits outside of the discount which is disappointing for a "tech" company. People stay here for the pay/raises. Period. There are plenty of quality and talented people here despite them hiring any- &/or everyone, but all the good ones are dropping like flies (or being fired) and everyone I know that's left is incredibly happier and not looking back. I would choose the department wisely if considering going here, but overall, I'd recommend a different company vs. waiting years for it to improve like we did.

Pros

Great coworkers, office job, free lunch sometimes, flex scheduling, learn a lot about HR

Cons

The pay sucks for what you are expected to do (like really REALLY sucks). The benefits are expensive, and you can only get the discount with their company card which, for a company this size, is borderline unacceptable. The managers in my dept were unprofessional, catty, passive aggressive, cliquey, refused to hear feedback, and when the chips were down, they proved to be objectively terrible at their job. They would literally abandon you to the wolves and then hide in their office. They also painfully micromanaged everything we did. They treated us like children, but expected us to act like we were making more than minimum wage. There’s also nowhere to go. Its a dead end, professionally - they want to pretend that there are opportunities available but the reality is that your managers have a direct impact in your ability to move around in the company and if your work environment is as toxic as mine, theres no way they would let that happen. They will literally trap you to punish you instead of investing in your growth.

Pros

I heard it used to be a pleasant , and great working place, not anymore Competitive Salary , Benefits, and good Employee Discounts

Cons

No Professionalism, No one cares whether you work for company or leave the company as almost all the levels of Employees are working in Survival Mode. Very bad middle Management, and there were no proper on-boarding procedures , training, knowledge sharing or knowledge base for new employees/associates Horrible employee engagement , and manager to employee relationships If you need to be successful, then you have to literally beg things from few people to approve things or share knowledge about the systems to perform your duties I would not recommend this place to work until unless you cannot survive/ or do not have a job any other place. The funny fact was, I thought of not joining this company based on glassdoor reviews, and then I thought I had talent to survive. But it proved that Glass Door reviews are more stronger than my talents.
