      Pros

      Great environment with caring associates who help each other.

      Cons

      The call center wants you in your seat and available for calls 100% of the time with a 2 % margin for error. Use your 2% for incidentals like bathroom breaks ONLY. The smell of the carpet.

      Pros

      Good professional development to start at. Don't stay for longer than a year or two - you will be stuck in retail stores.

      Cons

      No work life balance, Associates are all angry, senior leadership play favorites. HR doesn't help managers at all - they care more about their metrics than store performance. They're so many senior leadership visits you don't have time to care about your metrics. You want to focus on developing your team but you have a DVP visit, RVP visit, prototype, regional meetings, etc.

      Pros

      The people are great, Macy's is very community involved, volunteerism is encouraged. The benefits are middle of the road. Some marketing jobs have chance for advancement, not so much in the creative area which is siloed and can be immovable.

      Cons

      Con's depend on which area you are in. Merchant Buyers have the reputation for being very well trained and the computerization of reports that can be pulled is extensive but results are the name of the game & turnover contiues. The ongoing job cuts have had a negative effect on morale.
