      I'd Rather be UNEMPLOYED Than Pickup a Seasonal Position Here! Lesson Learned!

      Good for SEASONAL work Weekly pay & direct deposit

      Cons

      Even for a Seasonal Associate, the pay rate was LOUSY ($7.75/hr)! Management's NOT truly dedicated to developing employees. Management's phony. Macy's ideals are antiquated. Credit card quotas for a minimum wage, SEASONAL position? Really? "Security" leaves much to be desired. Managers need to do some real work.

      Comfortable job with good people

      Pros

      As a software developer I was able to learn and improve my skills in a comfortable environment. My colleagues were of good character and I rarely saw any uncivil confrontations at work. I felt able to take time off when I needed and the job was an enjoyable experience.

      Cons

      Not challenging enough, slow release schedules, too old of a crowd as someone in my 20s.

      Chaotic and disorganized

      Pros

      Good employee discounts, somewhat flexible schedule, good web site to review pay, schedules and benefits. Some managers are very good.

      Cons

      Massively disorganized operations, not enough support staff, very poor training, grumpy HR people and some managers who just cannot be bothered to actually help employees. Commissions sales creates cut throat environment and no guidance of how to work well with co workers in such an environment results in unprofessional situations between employees, often right in front of customers.
