      Pros

      If you seek out the right people, you can learn the retail environment better, and understand the why behind pricing, design, and sale tactics. The overall company is dedicated to giving back to the community. Typical pay, 401k, medical & dental (after 6months), 5 weeks PTO, life insurance, stock option.

      Cons

      Very corporate and political structure. Always seems like there are 5+ hands needed to make a discussion. Upper management expects your life to revolve around the company. Very stressful workload, with little explanation on how to complete the task.

      I never thought I'd be pushing credit on customers.

      Pros

      The other associates are a delight to work with. The energy level is high and there is no feeling of back-biting or competition among non-commissioned employees; we're more like a family. Nice employee discount.

      Cons

      I am earning basically minimum wage, and as a Part-Time Option 5 employee, I am usually assigned about 7(!) hours a week. The worst part of the job is we are expected to sign up at least one customer per week for a Macy's card. Having a history of bad credit personally, I feel like a hypocrite.

      Cons

      extremely overworked, Low pay, Scorecard is a joke. The managers favorite gets 100% every week, because she is allowed to stand at the register and Check Out customers while employees around her have to perform magic selling, However she gets to celebrate your sale. Where are the management observations?? I guess they are Blind. Executives are often rude. The Notre manager will not even speak to you. It is to far beneath him. We need an intervention. We need Undercover Boss.
