Pros

There are no pros to this scam of a company.

Cons

everything. I have taught in China and Korea ESL yet I was not hired for ME. My instructor gave me some pointers and I was still not hired. I was not given a chance to fix my errors. I suppose it does not matter since I am going to grad school for ESL. This company is not good. AVOID IT!

Pros

Will hire if you don't have a bachelor's degree.

Cons

You must open many "slots" bookings are low. If you have issues the management will "ghost" you, will just not answer questions, and leave you on your own.

Pros

One of the highest potential pay rates of any online ESL company.

Cons

I've worked for three different online ESL companies. Magic Ears ranks: - Worst curriculum of the three (one example is how slide amounts vary wildly between lessons, another example is how minimal the interactivity is) - Worst monetary fines of the three (granted, they can waive these fines at their discretion, but if you miss your first class, you're charged $20 plus they automatically cancel all your remaining classes for the day, meaning teachers have been fined $120 for missing ONE single class) - Worst micromanaging of the three (constant requests for 3am meetings, many other teachers have confirmed this as well) - Worst starting booking rate of the three (50% booking rate, granted Gogokid had a near 0% booking rate for the first month, but then immediately shot up to 80+%, where as Magic Ears will potentially keep you at 50% for months on end) And there's even more if you search the archive. Magic Ears has the highest potential pay, but keep in mind that there was a controversy recently over Senior teachers (meaning the teachers who've taught for quite a while, who are supposed to be booked at 80%) getting terrible booking rates.
