Pros

Free lunch on Wednesdays. They are flexible if you need to leave early for any reason.

Cons

First and foremost, there's a high turnover rate--that should be a red flag. The work environment is a negative one and it is very stressful. In addition, Magna doesn't provide formal training if you don't have experience in the industry. What they call training is essentially having you sit with the manager for two weeks, while he/she performs routine duties. Employees call-out often, though the Scheduling department is understaffed. Also, to get employees to work through lunch, they buy you lunch so that you feel guilty about taking the break you are entitled to.

Pros

The records department was generally a friendly group, mostly people from south philly. The benefits were decent.

Cons

No opportunity to grow within the department, management prefers to lie about when (tiny) raises are coming, then find another excuse when you follow up. Little accountability for the real issues the department faces both internally and with clients. Merger with RecordTrak was extremely sloppy leading to upset clients and employees. Frequently misled employees. Zero culture to make you feel like you mean anything to the company. Records Department treated like the red headed step child within the company. Lots of OT required to keep up with work, though it is not required. So much turnover. Immediate supervisor(s) are fine, the higher ranking bosses are really out of touch with their employees and generally not great humans.

Pros

Free coffee and stale sandwiches.

Cons

Magna loves to preach that everyone is part of a family. You aren't. You're expendable and you will feel like it. Very bad compensation. You will be expected to front parking/tolls/driving, which they will reimburse (albeit usually a few weeks later). Those bills will add up and it will feel like a constant cycle of lost money. Upper management didn't take the time to bother learning my name, so instead kept calling me the wrong name for over a year. Even if you put in 150% it will not be noticed sadly.
