Lots of opportunities to work overtime voluntarily. Shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift is more than other hospitals I’ve seen.

Cons

Average retention is 1 year for new employees They are cutting benefits for employees. Potentially cutting their pension benefit completely. Health insurance costs going up for 2026. 403b match is 1%

Thank you for sharing this insight. We want to clarify that Main Line Health does not have any plans to make widespread changes to our Total Rewards package, including our pension plan. Our commitment is to maintain a competitive and comprehensive benefits program for all employees. Recently, we conducted a pay and benefits survey to better understand employee’s preferences on our Total Rewards offerings. This feedback will guide us as we evaluate future plan designs because we believe the best solutions come from listening to and learning from those who use these benefits every day. We want to ensure that our strategy aligns with what our employees value most. The 403(b) company match is 1%; but in addition to that we have an open and accruing defined benefit pension plan that is fully funded by MLH. We are one of the only healthcare providers in the area with this benefit. This robust combination of 403(b) and pension allows for employees to save for retirement while also providing guaranteed income in retirement through the pension plan.
