Being on the STAT team, I get paid more to travel between our 5 different hospitals and just expose myself to new environments as a nurse. It has helped me stand out as a nurse and be recognized by nurse leaders. Here I feel like I can make my name for myself whereas at other Philly hospitals where you can get lost in the shuffle and are just a number. At MLH, the leaders want you to grow, and the nurse managers really care about your well-being and how you can keep learning and growing. That's huge to me and will always outweigh the lows of the job.
