Great coworkers! Good wellness support programs.

Cons

Lack of upward advancement unless you work in administration. HR is no longer local. To get assistance with anything HR related you have to enter an online ticket.

Lots of red tape and bureaucracy - my VP couldn't even make a decision without going to the CIO. Teams and projects are overly micro-managed and are asked to produce work in unreasonable timeframes, always with the caveat of "it's healthcare, there's always an emergency." Too many middle managers - you could do without the whole line of IT VPs and instead have Senior Directors who report to the CIO. Not a lot of forward progression for growth - lots of nepotism exists both familial and friends of friends. Hard to get promoted when they don't focus on the future and what the needs will be down the line.
