Pros

Place to work, provide you with everything to the job. Good 401K and Medical, that about it.

Cons

Manheim- California . Horrible Compensation. Managers all know each other and only pull friends from other auctions to fill managing positions at current location. They are more interested in cutting ours and getting the most out of someone without paying them what they deserve. Employees with a drive to succeed quickly move on after 1 year of employment. If you like repetition and don't care about advancing your career, this is the place. They'll hang a carrot at current promotions and advancements and quickly realize you never had a chance. Spineless prospects apply now!

Pros

Cox Benefits A paycheck to get the bills taken care of

Cons

Disorganized. Project management is non-existent. Managers are at the disposal of the whims of upper "Leadership" and the trickle down is horrible. When one of the organization "Leaders" gets an idea, everything is expected to happen then and there - all rush projects are still expected to be completed in addition to the new rush project. No respect for subject matter experts. Because the top management shows no respect to their group, the disrespect continues to trickle down through the ranks. I've never seen more pettiness and people trying to "pin blame" on others. The reason for many employee errors around here are because of constantly changing priorities. When setting goals for employee review comparison - know that these goals will be unattainable because whatever they are set upon will be important at the time, time will be wasted to accomplish it, and priorities will change - without goals to work toward, as an employee, you are lost. Because upper management does not support lower management, do not expect your manager to be able to properly support or encourage you. In this economy, its just a paycheck - but i've never received worse treatment in my life.

Pros

Manheim is associated with Cox, which is a huge asset. The pay was good, particularly the bonuses for executive ranks. Many fabulous and smart people. Top two executives are highly regarded and good people, so the workplace environment may have improved since I left.

Cons

VP leadership quality is very mixed. Highest level leaders didn't get along very well, and their lack of trust with each other negatively impacted the people below them. The political stress was unbearable for me. Good people regularly disappeared without warning.
